Toronto BookEats 2010 was fun, as always

Saturday April 10th.  Exhibition and workshop 1-4, feast began at 4
the 2x4 factory, Suite 2905- 95 Thorncliffe Park Drive
(directions to the factory)

Just like it sounds, this event is a combination of food and books. Participants make bookish things that are edible. We all get a chance to look at these wondrous creations for awhile and then we eat them. If the fun in this isn't obvious to you, check out the web site for the Internation Edible Book Festival. They have tons of pictures from all the various participants across the years and the globe.

Toronto participated in 2004, 2005, 2007and 2008. There are some pictures from some of the previous events at the bottom of the page.

If you are thinking of making something yourself, I'd love to hear from you. Basically so I can ensure I have lots of table space to display it all.

Once again we'll have lots of raw materials to experiment with. So, anyone dropping by can play. Maybe we'll do some bookmaking sprints, maybe a literal comic jam, who knows.

The previous events have been tons of fun with great people joining in. Its all free. No one gets involved in the edible book arts because of the money or fame. So, really, you'll kick yourself if you don't show up.
